About my throes of choice in short: I needed a small practical left-hand drive SUV with inexpensive and affordable consumables. But for my requests and my budget up to 700t.r. there were few cars. Of the available Honda CRV (2), Suzuki GV (3), Toyota Rav4 (2), Nissan Qashqai, but more suited to my criteria Rav4. Having studied the sores on all kinds of forums, I began to look for Ravus in two main positions: firstly, the dealer's, the dealer had 2L. engine with 150 horses. - and this is saving on taxes / insurance, and somehow it didn’t belong to the “Americans”, and secondly - restyling, tk. like the problem with the ECU was reclined, and the console became more pleasant. Bu 2005 Toyota RAV 4 t it was very difficult to find such a car in good condition in 2004-2005, not from the central part of Russia (many know why). But I was lucky, although I had to shake a lot and now I am the happy owner of a 2005 Rav4 automatic transmission 2L. with mileage 135t. traveled around Yekaterinburg. Then, like everyone else, I changed the oil, changed the crankcase protection, and something else on the little things. Now about my perception of this car.

As already accepted, I will describe the pros and cons of the ravus in my opinion:

Of the main disadvantages that seemed to me:

Harsh suspension - not critical, but there is.

The engine is noisy - probably because of the chain.

The "European" cannot turn off VSC TRC (anti-skid), which affects the forcing

off-road. The "American" has a blackout.

Dull or brooding automatic transmission. I read about it on the forums, but had no idea what it looked like.

Fortunately, in my small town there are no traffic lights and traffic jams, but when I drove it from another

region, was a little dumbfounded.

Of the pros, and it seemed to me more, especially since the shortcomings are not critical:
