Even more advanced, this Range Rover was the first in history to receive a monocoque body. The exterior designers were inspired by the lanky Italian speedboat Riva, while the metal interior trim was inspired by the pulleys of a luxury yacht.

The Stormer concept is known for setting a new direction for Range Rover design and an approach to introducing innovative technology into the vehicle.
The launch of the first sport utility vehicle in the Range Rover family reflected Land Rover's commitment to driving performance excellence. Among the available engines, a 4.2-liter supercharged petrol unit was introduced, featuring high performance. The Range Rover Sport was also equipped with cross-link air suspension for height adjustment and optimal all-wheel drive comfort on and off-road. Height adjustment is one of many features that have reflected dynamic performance in the appearance of the car.
